Calmore Sports are delighted to announce that Southern Zinc Solutions, the locally based metal roofing, cladding and rainwater systems company, have signed a three-year deal to become the club’s new sponsors.
Southern Zinc Solutions (https://southernzincsolutions.co.uk/) are owned by former Calmore Sports player Luke Gould, who played eight Southern Premier League games for the club before a horrendous injury curtailed his career back in 2015 whilst celebrating a century playing for the 2nd XI in the Hampshire League at Loperwood Park against Follands.
He has remained in the club and decided to step up to become the club’s principle sponsor for the next three years, where his company will adorn the front of the playing shirts.
“As an ex-player, I am proud to sponsor my local club that has such a rich heritage,” said Luke. “It is an honour to be able to support the club in this way now that I am unable to with the bat, stuck as I am on 101 not out!”.
He continued, “We are a specialist metal roofing company working with materials such as zinc, copper and stainless steel and are able to offer a supply and installation to any project of any size.”
His company, based on the edge of the New Forest, the father and son led team have some 45 years experience between them and have worked on prestigious and historic sites over the years including Beaulieu Motor Museum, HMS Victory and Liverpool Cathedral to name but a few.
So it is a significant feat to have Southern Zinc Solutions become the club sponsors and Pete Lavelle, Chair of Calmore Sports was delighted. “I think it’s fantastic that in these difficult times, the club can still find support from within and as one sponsorship deal ends, another begins.
“I would like to thank Paul Cass for his sponsorship support over the last three years. It goes without saying that finding another sponsor would always be a challenge but thanks to the hard work of Ollie and Mark, we have managed to secure a three-year sponsorship deal with Southern Zinc Solutions.
“It is especially pleasing that they are owned by our very own Luke Gould and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Luke for supporting the club in this way and look forward to working with him.”
