PRESIDENT’S GOLF DAY – 21st April

PRESIDENT’S GOLF DAY – 21st April

The 11th annual Calmore Sports Club President’s Golf Day will take place on Friday 21st April 2023 at the Southampton Golf Club (previously known as the Municipal Golf Course) – 7.45am for 8.30am tee-offs.

Mark Lavelle was the winner twelve months ago joining the pantheon of the greats that have lifted the coveted Peter Clark Memorial Jug and adorned the ‘Green Jacket’ … the full list of the previous winners is HERE.

The first tee time is at 8.30am and coffee and bacon rolls are available in the clubhouse from 7.45am onwards.

Put the date in your diary and let’s have a great turnout ahead of the new cricket season.

So that the President can ensure there is enough tee-off times booked, could he ask all members hoping to play in this years event to confirm they wish to attend in the usual way as soon as possible.  Please advise if you have any pair, three or four-ball you would like to enter so I can put those together.

Format will be the usual full handicap Stableford.  Price of golf to follow but last year it was a bargain at £17.

Coffee and bacon rolls will be available on me upon arrival.

The presentation of the coveted green jacket and other prizes together with beers and the President’s home made chilli will take place at the club afterwards provided the ongoing refurbishment works have been completed.

This event is the perfect way of getting as many players and other members together as possible before the start of the 2023 cricket season so let’s have a bumper turnout!
